Love Has No Boundaries

Raghav Gupta, Love has no boundaries. The male Vogelkop Bowerbird Amblyornis inornata, native to Western New Guinea, goes to great lengths to woo a female. He makes a conical, hut-like, bower whose “front lawn” he decorates with great artistry. Over months, he painstakingly gathers decorations – vibrant flowers, fruits, leaves, and, in keeping with anthropogenic times, bits of bright plastic. The male’s energies do not extend beyond copulation. The female nests and rears offspring alone.
