Why I Chose To Spend 30 Days On A Tree
Back in 2010, Sanctuary Asia chose to shine a spotlight on me at the annual Wildlife Awards ceremony for my role in scaling the roof of the British Parliament to demand action on climate change. After my two minutes “under the spotlight", the real forest heroes came on stage, each with epic tales of a lifetime dedicated to protecting the forests and wildlife of India. At that time, I was a born and bred Mumbaikar who had not spent any time in the forest. That has now changed.
