Magic in Macro

Magic in Macro: The suspended particles of ‘space dust’ in the background are actually spores, released in liberal quantities by the fungus covering the Log. Prathamesh Ghadekar observed snails (Succinea sps.) on the log, feasting on the fungus in Shahpur, Thane and was fascinated by the vibrant colours that appeared when he shone a flashlight onto the spores. Firing an intense flash from the opposite side, he succeeded in showcasing how small natural history moments in our backyard can be as stunning as scenes from far-flung galaxies!
