Spot the Tiger

With their bold black and orange stripes, tigers Panthera tigris melt into the grass, ambushing their prey with relative ease. While working on a book for the Kaziranga National Park authorities, the photographer could capture this unique bird’s-eye perspective of a tiger checking out possible threats before crossing a forest road, which is a typical cat instinct. These grasslands are vital habitats essential to predators and prey, and are the foundation for the intricate balance of life on our planet.
