Indian grey mongoose Herpestes edwardsi
A playful family of Indian grey mongoose Herpestes edwardsi frolics in a sun-drenched garden. The Indian grey mongoose is omnivorous, and is adept at hunting rats, mice, lizards, and particularly, snakes. Its agility, thick coat and acetylcholine receptors make it immune to snake venom.
