Swimming In Sand
<p>The three-fingered sand fish <em>Ophiomorus raithmai</em> makes its way through loose sands, virtually ‘swimming’ in Rajasthan’s Thar desert. This brownish-pink skink, belonging to the Scincidae family, responds to threats in a flash by vanishing rapidly into interdunal spaces.</p>
