Sidewinder Side-Eye
<p>A diamond-patterned Sochurek’s saw-scaled viper <em>Echis carinatus sochureki</em>, subspecies of the saw-scaled viper, is seen coiled on the sand dunes of Rajasthan’s Desert National Park. Largely crepuscular and nocturnal, these venomous snakes can be very aggressive and quick to strike.</p>
