Hangul Deer
<p><em>As autumn arrives, the rutting call of the male hangul deer </em>Cervus hanglu hanglu,<em> reverberates across Dachigam, the species’ only abode. The calls fade out by mid-November, when the endangered deer return to lower elevations in anticipation of winter</em>.</p>
