Long-tailed Nightjar Caprimulgus climacurus
After keeping watch for two weeks, Kallol Mukherjee and Palash Das used a remote triggered camera to capture a Long-tailed Nightjar Caprimulgus climacurus. It would stay in this same spot close to their home during the day, its brown plumage perfectly blending with the dry leaf litter. At night its deep monotonous call was clearly audible in between its hunting forays.
