Nothing is too much in nature

The monsoon progresses rapidly, puddles form on flat trails, streams overflow, and rivers breach their banks, but for the forest none of this is too much. The forest is arranged to deal with excess, water is diverted to larger water bodies, trees, and plants and insects proliferate, making the most of a generous season. As sure as the sun is to rise, the wheel of time must turn. September onwards, as the onslaught of the monsoon abates, the forest readies itself for a change of season. Albeit the wheel moves much slower this time; the change from monsoon to winter is a gradual process.
